Photobucket

Ang 'Lansangan' ay isang graphic memoir / graphic reportage na ipinasa bilang produkto ng graphic thesis na "Exploring Visuality in Creating Graphic Memoirs on ‘Lansangan’ as a Sociopolitical Space" para sa Visual Communications na kurso sa UP Diliman College of Fine Arts. Nailikha ito sa tulong ng Thesis Fund Grant ng College of Fine Arts at Office of the Chancellor, at tumanggap ng parangal bilang Best Thesis for Illustration and Publication sa pagtatapos noong abril 2010.

Sinimulan noong Disyembre 2009, natapos noong Marso 2010. Inilathala sa ilalim ng Mango Comics, at inilunsad noong Oktubre 23, 2010 sa Philippine International Comics, Cartoons, and Animation Festival (PICCA Festival). Walang katapusang pasasalamat kina Sir Boboy Yonzon at Sir Maldwyn de Pano para sa paglalathala.

'Lansangan' (Street) is a graphic memoir / graphic reportage submitted as the creative output of the graphic thesis "Exploring Visuality in Creating Graphic Memoirs on ‘Lansangan’ as a Sociopolitical Space" for the BFA Visual Communications program under the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts. The proposal was awarded a Thesis Fund Grant from the UPCFA and the Office of the Chancellor, and the final output was awarded Best Thesis for Illustration and Publication during the graduation ceremony in April 2010.

Started in December 2009 and finished in March 2010. Published by Mango Comics and launched on October 23, 2010 during the Philippine International Comics, Cartoons, and Animation Festival (PICCA Festival).] I extend my never-ending gratitude to Sir Boboy Yonzon and Sir Maldwyn de Pano for publishing it.

*Since it is a project that aims to create a Filipino graphic memoir, it is of course written in Filipino and deals with sociopolitical issues within the Philippines, as within the philosophy of New Journalism that puts great value on consciously subjective and purposely self-conscious points of perception.
